Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance or similar disciplines,
• Advanced knowledge of Turkish Tax Legislation,
• Advanced level of verbal and written English,
• 7-8 years of total work experience, by which 3-4 years was gained in the tax audit department of a Big4 firm),
• Experience in daily accounting issues,
• Excellent command of SAP FI and MS Office applications,
• Knowledge of international tax issues is an asset,
• Holding a CPA (SMMM) is an asset,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Strategic mindset and strong goal-orientation,
• Detail oriented, collaborative approach,
• Being able to work with strict deadlines,
• Multitasking skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

Working in the accounting team , the candidate will be reporting to the “Senior Accounting Manager” and be responsible of: 

• Preparation of tax declarations and follow up of tax receivables,
• Overseeing and taking active role in the whole general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and taxes,
• Taking active role in feasibility and implementation phases of restructuring processes (mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, inbound/outbound investments),
• Staying abreast of developments within the international arena that may affect the business both globally and locally,
• Reviewing documentation for potential tax implications,
• Keeping himself/herself up-to-date about tax laws and regulations and feeding management,
• Identifying tax related risks on both day-to-day business and new projects and raising flag, when needed, 
• Tracking incentives and searching for any possible opportunities,
• Evaluating and questioning related party transactions from a transfer pricing point of view,
• Supporting and directing other teams for investments and operations in Turkey and overseas in a tax efficient manner, 
• Being the contact person for both internal and independent audit teams and tax authorities,
• Works closely with other departments.
